Description Dominik Kozaczko 2007-11-03 02:14:51 UTC
I asked for support on IRC but without luck.
I use Polish locale (LC_ALL="pl_PL.UTF-8). After recent updates I noticed that date is displayed quite different than before. Now I have roman number instead of month name (XI instead of Lis - short for Listopad/November). Version of timezone-data: 2007g

This behavior breaks Evolution. I can't add any appointment or save contacts with birthdate set because I get error about wrong date.

I'd like to have previous way of date display, please. Is it possible to have the date displayed the way I want without changing locale (eg. LC_TIME) or timezone? I like short names (in my language) of months better than roman numbers.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add new appointment or set birthday for contact
2. Click OK

Actual Results:
Error pops up.

Expected Results:
The date should be properly validated.

I modified locale by hand as described here: http://ecik.nonlogic.org/blog/wpisy/31-daty-w-f7
but this does not fix date parsing in Evolution (v. 2.12.1)
