(i have alsa-lib-1.0.14_rc2)

XML-parser-2.34-r1, needed to be updated. configure error without -r1
(checking for XML::Parser... configure: error: XML::Parser perl module is require for intltool)

Either raise the alsa-lib dependency to a version that actually has the flag, i.e. >=1.0.14a-r1, or fix the built_with_use check. :)
