emerge info? Also: Did this just recently pop up? Or has this been happening since you first compiled it? The splash screen hangs without the bar moving, it is using 50% processor for ever. Started when gnome update 2.20.1 rev-dep asked to emerge openoffice - so I tried upgrade. I have removed .ooo-2.0 directory, and tried as root - I can not get it to run. I need to get something working, so I would be happy to downgrade to a working version, but can not find one. I turned off java because of the libmawt.so problem reported by revdep-rebuild but as others who have reported the libmawt.so problem have working systems this maybe unrelated. Sorry I can not be more specific about what fixed it, I needed it working. Is this still a problem with 2.4.0? Well I tried. But 2.4.0 fails to compile. The system is pretty much as it was when 2.3.0 compiled OK after the total system update.
