Hi.  This is a Good Thing(tm), besides which, I use it extensively: 
http://www.linuxvirtualserver.org.  It's a kernel patch that implements
clustering and network load balancing in the kernel.  The patch for 2.4 should
apply cleanly to a gentoo-sources kernel (though I haven't tested it myself, if
this is not the case I could whip up a patch that will apply cleanly, just
append a note to the bug :-).

1. Apply patch
2. ???
3. load balancing!
