Description Alistair Bush (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-10-20 11:47:02 UTC
Using app-office/borg as an example program that uses dev-java/jdictrayapi I discovered the following output, that I tracked down to actually be caused by jdictrayapi.

$ borg
DB URL is: /home/alistair/.borg
reflect - bad awtHandle.
/opt/sun-jdk-1.5.0.13/jre/jre/lib/i386/libawt.so: cannot open shared object file
: No such file or directory

As jdictrayapi is stable on amd64 can we please make an exception to the 30 day rule.

Testing instructions in a moment

ok to test this....

I have just add ~amd64 to =app-office/borg-1.5.2, as it is the only reverse dep of borg.

Please use borg to test along with http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/java/getting-involved.xml#doc_chap1

Comment 2 Alistair Bush (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-10-20 12:08:04 UTC
I suppose I should actually state

Please stabilise =dev-java/jdictrayapi-0.9.1-r3 on amd64 :) This has had a patch applied to fix the issue...
Comment 3 Alistair Bush (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-10-20 21:03:08 UTC
Removing amd64, you will not be able to stabilize this as it fails to run on java 1.6.

Thanks to Ken69267 for picking this up. It now raises another pile of questions :|
