this is something i will add when i have a well tested patch. until then patches for this will end up in pfeifer-sources for testing. also, changing to an enhancement (because it is). Jay Of couse, I'm looking forward to seeing it in your sources. ;) And one thing I've noticed when using them is that it I get this message on boot: hde: IC35L120AVVA07-0, ATA DISK drive hdg: no response (status = 0xfe) ...and I have to wait for that stupid timeout. There is only one disk present. But other than that, they have worked great for me so far. Is there a way to install gentoo directly onto a SATA drive? use knoppix meanwhile (that's what i've done) Vanilla 2.4.20 never had the Silicon Image support, and we're not really planning on backporting it to gentoo-sources from 2.4.21+: the new 2.4.22 will come out eventually, so try gentoo-test-sources for now... |
