The rsycn1.us.gentoo.org mirror needs to find a new home by the end of October 2007. Early in November those machines will be powered down and repurposed and we, the University of Florida CNS data center, do not have other spare hardware to continue hosting this service.

I've warned Jeffery Forman and Lance Albertson for a while now that this day was coming.

Yes, we're aware of this and are working on a replacement.

We will keep you posted on the status of that in this bug.

Seems to be moved already:

Yeah, we moved it and sent mail to the gentoo-mirrors list.

rsync1.us.gentoo.org is an alias for portage.osuosl.org.
portage.osuosl.org has address 140.211.166.134
is what I get...
