Bug 195727 – sys-devel/gcc-config-1.4.0-r3 does not switch to lower/older gcc version

emerge gcc-4.2.2 then gcc-config 2 or i686-pc-linux-gnu-4.2.2. gcc-v shows gcc-4.2.2. Now gcc-config 1 or i686-pc-linux-gnu-4.1.2 





Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Use gcc-config -r3 to change to newer gcc
2.Use gcc-config to change back
3.gcc -v and you are still newest version of gcc.

Actual Results:  
amdually hielvc # gcc-config -l
 [1] i686-pc-linux-gnu-4.1.2
 [2] i686-pc-linux-gnu-4.2.2 *
amdually hielvc # gcc-config 1   
 * Switching native-compiler to i686-pc-linux-gnu-4.1.2 ...                   [ ok ]
amdually hielvc # gcc-config -l
 [1] i686-pc-linux-gnu-4.1.2
 [2] i686-pc-linux-gnu-4.2.2 *

and gcc is still at 4.2.2. Running env-update && . /etc/profile doesn't help.

Expected Results:  
gcc -v should show gcc-4.1.2 specs.

There's no 1.4.0-r3; please emerge --sync before reporting bugs.
