It is also recommended to remove 005_all_alsa_default_freq.patch, in the final comments of bug #193147. I forgot to mention that my sound card is a Sound Blaster Live! Value and I'm using ALSA with OSS emulation enabled, if it matters. I don't know if this is the same as bug #193147 because Chromium uses OpenAL and works fine here with 005_all_alsa_default_freq.patch . (In reply to comment #0) > UT2004 doesn't start on my system with the bundled openal, but since version > 0.0.8-r2 the system library stopped producing any sound. > I found the problem to be the 005_all_alsa_default_freq patch, without it > everything works again. > 005_all_alsa_default_freq patch also seems to crash the game spring http://spring.clan-sy.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=12568 after removing this patch it worked for the poster in the reference above and also for me. so is this patch really necessary? You can try this patch. It solves some same problems for me.
Does it work with the new ~x86 keyworded version: 1.5.304? (In reply to comment #5) > Does it work with the new ~x86 keyworded version: 1.5.304? > UT2004 works. As per last comment, closing as fixed. See also bug 254583. |
