- Doesn't compile with Emacs version >= 22
- Is included in Emacs version >= 22
- Last upstream release as standalone package in 2003
- Keyworded ~x86 only
- However, the package was only added to the tree in 2006 and there are
  no known bugs

Last rites? Or introduce a switch in pkg_setup (which would have to die for new Emacs versions, so we wouldn't gain much).
