media-gfx/splashutils-1.5.2.1 works fine with baselayout sys-apps/baselayout-1.12.9.
However there are no progress bar status neither icons displayed during boot with baselayout-2.0.0_rc4

You need to re-emerge splash-utils

ok, it's started to work. Is it possible to force user to recompile or just mention it somewhere? Thanks.
