There exists a fork of ImageMagick, called GraphicsMagick. It is currently in version 1.1.10 and was forked from ImageMagick 5.5.2. They strive for higher stability of API and UI.

Could it be that the BugZilla search is broken?
I ran http://bugs.gentoo.org/buglist.cgi?query_format=specific&order=relevance+desc&bug_status=__open__&product=&content=graphicsmagick
and at least if I am not blind, it doesn't show up there...

Sorry... Last time I tried this never returned anything, so I started using http://bugs.gentoo.org/query.cgi instead. Will switch my behaviour back now.
