Are you sure you are using > 2.18.3-r1 and not 2.18.3? > Oh sorry, you're right! I emerged nautilus-2.18.3-r1 but didn't realize gnome apparantly still started nautilus-2.18.3... Yeah, it was probably managing your desktop and it's a single instance application by default. After the first crash after the upgrade it should have reloaded with the fix and not crash further. |
