This bug on launchpad shows that libview2 needs to be version 0.6.0 to be compatible with vmware 6.0 but we've only got 0.5.6 in portage.

Thanks, this is a known problem.  There's an updated version of libview in the vmware overlay, and it should be hitting the main tree in the next couple of weeks.  Sorry for the inconvenience...  5:(

This verison of libview has now made the main tree.  Please try out the latest version of vmware and libview.  If you're still having problems, feel free to reopen this bug.  Thanks...  5:)
