Doing a Google search on the error message, I found advice to set the DISPLAY to localhost:0, so as to avoid any direct rendering. Doing this causes a segfault instead of the X error. this bug only affects software rendering ... run `llxdoom -opengl` ... i added a warning about software not working in latest xfree versions ... this bug will have to die until they release a new version upstream Dunno what this was closed as before. I'll close it as CANTFIX based on the comments. |
