according to http://www.mail-archive.com/gtk-list@gnome.org/msg25210.html one needs to apply the patch to gtk+-2.10.4 to use cups 1.3 . new cups 1.3 is in this bugzila

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. merge cups 1.3
2. merge gtk+-2.10.4
3. gtk+ fails at gtkcupsutils.c



Expected Results:  
we need the ebuild to test if cups 1.3 is installed and then use the patch

Considering that gtk+ has no dependency on cups, please move this whole thing to Bug 161270 so that we don't have an automagic dependency in the first place. (Plus there's no cups-1.3 in the tree ATM anyway).
