Hello all,

when I go to http://www.spiegel.de konqueror apparently has issues with the last.fm input box. It gets slow and cpu usage goes all the way up. The input box is blinking (it shouldn't). I'll attach a picture of the last.fm input box.

I don't have JavaScript enabled and netscape-flash is not installed. I use the OS radeon driver on a Radeon 9250, no EXA, no COMPOSITE, no AIGLX (and no DRI/GLX for that matter).

When I cover the input box, say with a console, the jerkiness goes away (cpu usage drops instantly). So maybe this isn't really a konqueror problem but an X problem. When the cpu usage goes up the cpu is used ~25% by konqueror and ~75% by X according to top. Context switches are increased from ~70/s to ~7000/s (according to vmstat 1).

I tried different kernels (2.6.20-22), all with conservative settings (disabled NOHZ, preempt) and KDE versions (3.5.5 and 3.5.7).

Any idea how to debug this?

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open http://www.spiegel.de
2. Scroll down until you see the last.fm input box on the right (a search for the string "Radioprogramm" may help finding it)
3. Check if the input box is blanking and check for cpu usage

Actual Results:  
cpu gets hit a lot, konqueror jerkiness

Expected Results:  
Normal browsing possible
