I've used the commercial version of this in an enterprise with 200+ users!  It's a GREAT replacement for MS Exchange!

As of 12/29/08, not all the source code has been released, specifically the actual mail server, so having an ebuild may not be very useful at the moment. See http://downloads.scalix.com/.opensource/11.4.2/RELEASE_NOTES_SOURCE.html for more info.
