When using baselayout-2 and setting RC_PARALLEL="yes", nscd won't start:

nscd    | * start-stop-daemon: /usr/sbin/nscd        [!!]
nscd    | * ERROR: nscd failed to start.

UberLord was contacted and pretends it's a fork issue. As I use chopsticks only I can't confirm his theory. He nevertheless provided a patch for glibc-2.6 (see below) that made nscd start properly.

Newer versions seem to work.  Could you please verify for me as well?
