Reassigning back to herd since Benjamin has retired as a Gentoo developer (#89719). I also have the same problem, plus an additional problem. When you try to run sguil, it errors out with: /usr/bin/sguil.tk: line 3: exec: wishx: not found However even if I remove the "x" it still dosen't run. Gives me the following error: # /usr/bin/sguil.tk Application initialization failed: Can't find a usable tk.tcl in the following directories: /usr/lib64/tcl8.4/tk8.4 /usr/lib64/tk8.4 /usr/lib/tk8.4 /lib/tk8.4 /usr/library /library /tk8.4.18/library /usr/lib64/tk8.4/tk.tcl: no event type or button # or keysym no event type or button # or keysym while executing "bind Listbox <MouseWheel> { %W yview scroll [expr {- (%D / 120) * 4}] units }" invoked from within "if {[tk windowingsystem] eq "classic" || [tk windowingsystem] eq "aqua"} { bind Listbox <MouseWheel> { %W yview scroll [expr {- (%D)}] uni..." Now I only get an error which has to do with the sguil-client package. There seems that some files are missing. # sguil.tk Error in startup script: couldn't read file "/usr/lib64/sguil/tablelist4.1/tablelistPublic.tcl": no such file or directory while executing "source $SGUILLIB/tablelist4.1/tablelistPublic.tcl" (file "/usr/bin/sguil.tk" line 1775) Regarding the tablelist error, the problem is that the tablelist4.1 directory and files are missing from the sguil-client installation. I have another machine with an older installation and this directory exists, so I copied the directory over and now sguil-client is working. It looks like the problem is that the tablelist4.1 is not present in the upstream archive any more. Comparing the size of the archives on my two machines I can see that the new one is smaller. # ll /usr/portage/packages/All/sguil-client-0.6.1.tbz2 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 196481 2009-02-11 18:14 /usr/portage/packages/All/sguil-client-0.6.1.tbz2 # ll /usr/portage/packages/All/sguil-client-0.6.1.tbz2 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 127828 Mai 5 09:18 /usr/portage/packages/All/sguil-client-0.6.1.tbz2 Also I inspected the archives contents and verified that the tablelist4.1 was present in the older and NOT present in the newer. I don't know if version 0.6.1 is still being maitained. Maybe it is time to move to the latest version - 0.7.0. Fixed. Thanks for reporting. |
