Is it something to do with the patch thats being applied that is the problem? Would love to get this working as it would save lots of hassle with uploading files to flickr. Same problem here. same problem here Getting it to install is a three line change to the ebuild, but it's not worth checking that in because there are a couple significant bugs in the current flickrfs release. (I'm the new lead flickrfs maintainer, but I'm not ready to cut a new release yet since I just took over a week ago). Right at the moment to run flickrfs on gentoo you should install the python-fuse package (_not_ fuse-python, see bug 183710 for why), and then check out the CVS version of flickrfs from sourceforge. I'll get a new release out as soon as practical. 1 month bump :-) Reassigning since jmglov has retired from Gentoo. (In reply to comment #9) > 1 month bump :-) > 3 month bump :-) I'm baaaack. ;) I should have time to look at this in the next week or so. more than one year now ... anything new ? (In reply to comment #13) > more than one year now ... anything new ? > I swtiched to using f-spot a long time ago because it allows exporting to flickr (and several other sites as well). It's also handy for managing pictures (and would be a bit faster if it wasn't written in C#). Version in portage is a little dated, but there is a bug (227073) that is seeking to get the version bumped. So, until new release will be ready... I've prepared patch that "updates" 1.3.9 to current cvs version (which is recommended to use on flickrfs homepage). Is is quite big because files were moved (but not that big actually because flickrfs sources are small). I've also added patch from livibetter which fixes bug with non-visible sets (http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1731464&group_id=151995&atid=782752). Ebuild now contains ~amd64 keyword too and it can work with python >2.4. Created attachment 168816 [details]

Fixes non-visible sets bug.
Reassigning to maintainer-needed since jmglov has left Gentoo, bug #206782. Thanks for the patches, got it compiling nicely. Not found anything else out there like this, just what the doctor ordered! sys-fs/flickrfs has been deleted. |
