Summary: media-video/dvd-slideshow-0.7.5 calls ffmpeg with incorrect -ab parameter value for AC3 encoding.

Description Aaron Binns 2007-08-12 23:37:01 UTC
Versions involved:
  media-video/dvd-slideshow-0.7.5
  media-video/ffmpeg-0.4.9_p20070330

When using AC3 encoding with dvd-slideshow, it calls ffmpeg to generate AC3 audio. The flag used to specify the bitrate is incorrect. Currently, dvd-slideshow uses:
  -ab 192
where ffmpeg requires the form
  -ab 192k

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a dvd slideshow with dvd-slideshow and AC3 audio
2. See error message from ffmpeg about missing/incorrect parameter.

Actual Results:
dvd-slideshow failed to create the DVD because ffmpeg didn't create the audio.

Expected Results:
I expected the AC3 audio to be created and the DVD slideshow to be created.

I just did a find/replace in the dvd-slideshow script to change "-ab 192" to "-ab 192k" and then it worked just as expected.

I'm gussing that the parameter format changed in ffmpeg and dvd-slideshow just needs to be updated to suit.

Please note versions used in above. These were the most up-to-date versions (no special masking or anything) for my x86-64/AMD64 system.
