Which ebuild and version is this about? No idea what installs v4lctl; also, you should run revdep-rebuild. /usr/bin/v4lctl is part of xawtv-3.95-r1. revdep-rebuild I'm doing every day. I shows me that four libraries are broken: * broken /usr/lib64/xine/plugins/1.1.7/xineplug_flac.so (requires libFLAC.so.7) * broken /usr/lib/libvtkRenderingJava.so.5.0 (no version information available) * broken /usr/lib64/libswt-awt-gtk-3345.so (no version information available) * broken /usr/lib64/libvtkRenderingJava.so.5.0.3 (no version information available) Then revdep-rebuild tries to rebuild: emerge --oneshot =dev-java/swt-3.3_rc4 =media-libs/xine-lib-1.1.7 =sci-libs/vtk-5.0.3 Rebuilding of xine-lib-1.1.7 fails. Rebuilding of swt and vtk works every day perfectly. Regards Juergen Hmmm.
