Your /usr/portage/distfiles/ permissions are apparently screwed, works just fine here (yeah, even with FEATURES="userfetch") $ ls -ld /usr/portage/distfiles/ drwxrwsr-x 5 root portage 44528 2007-08-04 11:17 /usr/portage/distfiles/ drwxrwsr-x 3 root portage 3280 4 ago 12:24 /usr/portage/distfiles/ permission are ok only one think... lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 25 21 gen 2007 /usr/portage -> /mnt/Dati/Gentoo/portage// i have a symlink there. Check the permissions on each path element of /mnt/Dati/Gentoo/portage. Apparently the portage user can't access it (and userfetch is enabled by default now). You can add FEATURES="-userfetch" to make.conf if you want the fetcher to run as root. ok it works after changing permissions or playing with the feature flag. only one thig: the default change should have been documented in a better way, maybe via einfo too. closing as invalid I've added the following elog message: * * FEATURES="userfetch" is now enabled by default. Depending on your ${DISTDIR} * permissions, this may result in Permission Denied errors. If you would like * to fetch with superuser privileges, add FEATURES="-userfetch" to make.conf. * *** Bug 193854 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
