Can you verify this issue with 2008.0 Beta 1? That option is enabled in SVN in the kernel config, so it'll show up in 2008.0 Beta 2. No more livecds, so closing this bug. |
I've used handbook to install my system. Choosing genkernel method to create kernel (with zcat /proc/config.gz). Later I've started to install Xorg and it not work until I set CONFIG_VM86=y and recompiled kernel. Driver cannot initialize video card ("Mobile 945GM/GMS/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller"). May be in later releases of Gentoo (2007.1 etc) it can be useful to include this param to default kernel ? Reproducible: Always
