Bug 187331 – site-gentoo.el contains binary code, which creates emacs error

site-gentoo.el contains binary code at a place, where in older site-gentoo.el was   the line 
;;; ipython site-lisp configuration

It seems to me, that this binary code is responsible for the emacs error 
"Symbol's value as variable is void" : \213
if site-gentoo.el is loaded by .emacs with

  (load "/usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/site-gentoo")

The gtk-doc version is gtk-doc-1.8-r1. Better?
