My guess is etc-update is somehow (either by your direction or otherwise) overwriting your /etc/passwd and /etc/group files. This isn't, however, a mirror issue, so I'm kicking this over to bug-wranglers. this is cause of your CONFIG_PROTECT doesn't include /etc watch my example: CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /var/qmail/control /usr/share/config /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb:/usr/kde/3.1/share/config:/usr/share/config" a) you edited your make.global b) you've overwritten this through make.conf |
