the version of naim offered in portage won't even conect correctly to TOC / AIM anymore. Perhaps they can update the ebuild the newest release naim 0.11.8.3.1? It's a simple fix to just download and compile the source i just figured it best to have everything in portage pruned nicely...

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge naim
2.execute naim in a terminal
3.connect to an aim account

Actual Results:  
it hangs, there is no connection allowed

Expected Results:  
using newest version, it conects using nirc and naim ro irc and aim respectively

0.11.8.3.1 is in the tree, a stabilization will follow soon.
