Please, attach a backtrace here: http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/qa/backtraces.xml I rebuilt the Gimp with the necessary options to obtain a back trace and now the bug does not occur. I guess it was something to do with my optimization settings. Well, I'd suggest that you upgrade your gcc.
