pida-0.5.0.ebuild
I'm just attaching the whole ebuild as now in my overlay. I didn't see the point in the MY_PV variable at all, and the patch was quite long due to moving stuff back to RDEPEND. AIUI it should be a new revision since it would pull in new deps, but someone who already has pida might not want to update (unless of course they were actually running --depclean as recommended on the forums.) Dunno how the revisioning works in that instance.
I'm fairly certain it doesn't need pyOrbit, due to leio's comment above.
Bleh I am wrong about that last bit, since qfile says dev-python/gnome-python (/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/gtk-2.0/gconf.so) Man sorry for spam; I will ask around some more about how we can get the python gconf stuff without all the rest of it. More or less dupe of Bug 184670. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 184670 *** Er it's similar as it's about gnome-python, but it's not the same; that one was because gnome-python was listed as a dep only if USE=gnome was set. pida needs py-gconf unconditionally. This one is about how to get py-gconf without all the other stuff that gets pulled in by gnome-python. It really comes down to being able to remerge gnome-python when a new lib is installed (which a python package needs bindings to) instead of pulling all the libs in first. (Since gnome-python source just configures to whatever is on the system.) Obviously, that's not even under consideration while 18 is being stabled; I'm not even sure it can be done. Is it possible now after gnome-python ebuilds were split to tweak this ebuild now? |
