Description Ali Polatel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-07-17 12:01:03 UTC
Arch teams, please test and mark pycairo-1.4.0 stable.
The stable version - pycairo-1.2.2 - uses numeric which is no longer maintained
and is being replaced by numpy.
Comment 1 Raúl Porcel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-07-17 14:06:13 UTC
alpha/ia64/x86 stable
Comment 2 Ali Polatel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-07-17 14:19:09 UTC
just fyi, pycairo-1.4.0 doesn't necessarily need numpy or numeric to be installed unlike pycairo-1.2*, with 'being replaced' I meant we're generally trying to make packages not use numeric anymore.
Comment 3 Gustavo Zacarias (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-07-17 17:42:22 UTC

Comment 8 Matt Whitlock 2007-08-21 18:37:46 UTC
PyGTK wouldn't compile on amd64 when using PyCairo 1.4.0. I had to revert back to PyCairo 1.2.6.
Comment 9 Matt Whitlock 2007-08-25 04:58:31 UTC
Never mind. I found my problem.

Why this bug is still open?
Comment 11 Torsten Rehn 2007-10-20 19:27:54 UTC
No arches left in CC, closing.
