Yes, this advisory was released on a weekend, because someone jumped the gun.

This is *not* another report about the bug that 8.12.8 fixed. This is a bug
found in 8.12.8 and prior revisions.  I have just synched portage looking to see
if there is an 8.12.9 release yet; there is none I noticed.  I have also looked
through all recent open/closed/etc. bugs with "sendmail" in the subject to see
if any of them are other reports of this.

This is a duplicate of bug #18444 (four lower than this), which just had a title without "sendmail" in it.
