Description Olivier Crete (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-03-28 21:44:29 UTC
The currently unmasked version of xcdroast (alpha10) requires
<=app-cdr/cdrtools-1.11.33, while the currently unmasked version of cdrtools is
2.x.. Please unmask xcdrmask alpha13 which supports cdrtools 2.x
Comment 1 Arcady Genkin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-03-30 18:10:37 UTC
There is also an unmasked cdrtools-1.11.33.ebuild, so there should be no problem, no?
Comment 2 Olivier Crete (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-03-30 18:30:03 UTC
the problemis that "emerge -u --deep world" always tries to update cdrtools. And then once its upgraded, it tries to downgrade it...
Comment 3 Olivier Crete (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-05-07 12:07:00 UTC
This has still not been fixed.. The easy way is to xcdroast-0.98_alpha13.ebuild with which I had no problems for the last few months. And yes there is an old cdrtools available, but I can't install both.

xcdroast alpha 14 r2

There's been a bug with newer versions of cdrtools being not recognized by
xcdroast due to a change of version representation by cdrecord.
There's also been a patch for xcdroast and it should work now, which is
incorporated in my ebuild-file. ebuild-digest and emerge it to run.

Damn, an error came up while submitting the ebuild and I stupidly clicked submit again. Delete one of the ebuilds and this posting, too.
Comment 7 Arcady Genkin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-10-02 18:44:08 UTC
I'm trying to reduce the number of packages I maintain.
Punting back to bug-wranglers.
Comment 8 Lars Weiler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-10-08 20:26:51 UTC
Since I have done major changes on xcdroast and cdrecord in September, I
assume this bug became obsolete. May you test and report your result?
