You're using mm-sources, which is known to break stuff, including but not limited to nvidia-drivers. Try using current ~x86 gentoo-sources (2.6.22) to see if the problem persists. Further testing: booting kernel 2.6.22-rc7 (vanilla): cmake emerges booting kernel 2.6.22-rc7 with 2.6.22-rc4-mm2 eselected: cmake emerges booting kernel 2.6.22-rc4-mm2 : cmake emerge fails (normally the kernel that boots is the one that /usr/src/linux points to) It looks like this is more likely a kernel bug with experimental mm-sources. It really doesn't matter where the /usr/src/linux symlink points - the kernel booted is the one selected in grub... |
