Description Tiago Cunha (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-06-27 06:04:12 UTC
I was about to file a bug report requesting the stabilization of app-arch/ppmd-9.1_p10 on AMD64 when I noticed that when running PPMd the standard way - i.e. PPMd e <file> - gives a segmentation fault.

The same applies to app-arch/ppmd-9.1_p8.

$ echo -e "hi\nbye" > hello
$ PPMd e hello
Fast PPMII compressor for textual data, variant I, Jun 27 2007
Segmentation fault

(with FEATURES="nostrip" CXXFLAGS="-O1 -pipe -g -ggdb")
$ gdb --args PPMd e hello
GNU gdb 6.6
[...]
(gdb) run
Starting program: /usr/bin/PPMd e hello
Fast PPMII compressor for textual data, variant I, Jun 27 2007

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
