using cups-1.2.11:
cupsd crashes, and won't restart when using the PPD file for Xerox Phaser 6120.
cupstestppd segfaults when testing the ppd-file.

I tried the same thing with cups-1.2.10-r1, and everything works fine.

Hi,

Can you please complain to the upstream cups developers? I do not think this is a gentoo specific problem.

I have repported the bug with CUPS.

That said: I thought that the policy is to report bugs here. Then you guys report them upstream if necessary. Is that wrong?

fact is that we can only fix the ebuilds and everything else needs to be done by upstream. But users cannot easily determine if it is a gentoo specific patch or upstream when finding a bug so they are recommended to try first on bugs.gentoo.org
