Bug 182467 – x11-misc/xvidcap-1.1.6 crash on single-frame recording

First. I can't choose single-frame mode from menu. It says "You selected single-frame capture mode but specified a target file format which is used for multi-frame capture", but output file format is set to "auto".

Second. If I request single-frame from command line and try to record anything, it crashes with the following message:

/home/tolich/xvidcap/test-0000.png: No such file or directory
The program 'xvidcap' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadShmSeg (invalid shared segment parameter)'.
  (Details: serial 2476 error_code 164 request_code 146 minor_code 2)

   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line

Steps to Reproduce:
1. xvidcap --sf --fps 1 --format png
2. start recording
Actual Results:  
Crash =)

Expected Results:  
Take the screenshots every second

Could you please try xvidcap-1.1.6-r1? It's still package.masked because it needs package.masked ffmpeg. This version uses system ffmpeg, instead of bundled ffmpeg it comes with.

Actually, xvidcap-1.1.6-r2 is the one that needs testing.

Yes, xvidcap-1.1.6-r2 seems to working fine. At least in my case.

Good news. Unfortunately it can't be unmasked yet because we are waiting for ffmpeg unmask..

new ffmpeg and xvidcap has now been unmasked and this bug can be closed. :)
