Did you specifically include the value svga in USE= line in your /etc/make.conf? Yes I have: # Example: #USE="X gtk gnome -alsa" USE="-nls berkdb crypt cups dga directfb doc fbcon gif java jpeg kde kerberos mo zilla moznomail mpeg mysql ncurses opengl pdflib perl png python qt kde quicktim e samba ssl sdl slang svga tcpd tiff truetype X xml xml2" Removing 'svga' from make.conf gives me a seemingly normal emerge list: ultra root # emerge kde -pv These are the packages that I would merge, in order: Calculating dependencies ...done! [ebuild N ] kde-base/kde-env-3-r2 [ebuild N ] media-libs/lcms-1.09 [ebuild N ] x11-libs/xft-2.0.1-r1 [ebuild N ] dev-db/mysql-3.23.56 -static +readline -innodb +berkdb +tcpd +ssl ... So I should remove 'svga' then? svgalib doesn't build on non-x86 hardware. svgalib doesn't build on non-x86 arches |
