First emerge-webrsync call (at installation) when /etc/make.profile doesnt exist emerge-webrsync tries to wget an error message generated in this line GENTOO_MIRRORS="`${PYTHON} -c 'import portage... so, result is waiting. I've added a wget debug. Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce Steps to Reproduce: 1. rm /etc/make.profile 2. emerge-webrsync 3. I think emerge-webrsync should say more than only "Fetching recently snapshots...". When no todays snapshot exist it should say "Nothing to be done today" (if /usr/portage exists) and exit.
