Description Jukka Ruohonen 2007-06-06 18:35:25 UTC
As the topic says, both versions (0.5.2 and 0.5.2-r1) fail with the most recent version of numpy (1.0.3). Thus, when the system is built with

[ebuild R ] dev-python/numpy-1.0.2 USE="lapack -debug" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] sci-libs/scipy-0.5.2-r1 USE="fftw -debug -umfpack" 0 kB

everything works as expected, while the combination of

[ebuild U ] dev-python/numpy-1.0.3 [1.0.2] USE="lapack -debug" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] sci-libs/scipy-0.5.2-r1 USE="fftw -debug -umfpack" 0 kB

fails for scipy. A complete build log is attached. From what I can gather with just a quick glance, it seems that the relevant tests were passed.

Although I am on otherwise stable (amd64) system, blas-atlas and lapack-atlas are both 3.7.32. Both have worked well (amazingly well, I might add) on other settings.

If needed, please request more information or more testing.
