Emerging the masked version of libgnomeprint-2.2.1.2 && libgnomeprintui-2.2.1.2 break during the installation of the ebuilds. This is because somewhere between compile and install the file index.sgml in doc/reference/html/ for libgnomeprint and in doc/html/ for libgnomeprintui the file gets deleted and emerge can't find it anymore and quits. I have no idea where the file gets deleted but I'm pretty sure it's after the compilation. Fixed this for myself by quickly copying index.sgml back after it gets deleted. Ebuild works fine for the rest.

libgsf seems to be suffering the same disease, did a search on "stat index.sgml" (cannot stat index.sgml) is the error message and got no results, so maybe it's just me & my sytem? :-)

this has been seen previously when you have a corrupted SGML setup. try fixing this by following the instructions on this page:

http://cvs.gentoo.org/~satai/sgmlfix.html
