libgsf seems to be suffering the same disease, did a search on "stat index.sgml" (cannot stat index.sgml) is the error message and got no results, so maybe it's just me & my sytem? :-) It's the USE="doc" variable... this has been seen previously when you have a corrupted SGML setup. try fixing this by following the instructions on this page: http://cvs.gentoo.org/~satai/sgmlfix.html After searching the forums again, with the correct search terms this time I indeed noticed lotsa people had this problem.
