amd64 patch
Reassigning back to herd since Stefan has been retired as a Gentoo Developer (#27693). Is this really used? I can't find updated info in asterisk.org, and http://www.zapatatelephony.org/ points to asterisk.org ftp addresses which doesn't exist anymore. Furthermore, this lib doesn't have reverse dependencies in Portage. I'm reluctant to fix and keyword a package that is dead. (In reply to comment #3) > I'm reluctant to fix and keyword a package that is dead. Add us back to CC after patch has been applied, if desired. Seems like a dead project to me. (sorry, didn't mean to close) I sincerely think this is a messed up package. The amd64 patch actually fixes a generic QA problem (code not being PIC and generating TEXTRELs under x86 too). Also, it seems to force extra cflags in the build, and since everybody seems to agree that it's a dead project, I think it would be a good candidate for deletion. voip herd has to make the call, though I'd sincerely suggest it from the QA point of view. It's indeed a good candidate for removal. This lib is an interface for zaptel. It was used by asterisk a long ago but it is now longer used by asterisk nor maintained by digium. So, except if someone has good reasons, it's going to be removed. removed, fixed |
