see older bug: 169125 (you removed a sed function....)
Now I encountered problems when compiling few other ebuild, requiring /usr/lib64/opengl/ati/lib/libGL.la

Workaround: in order to compile these packages I have to temporary switch to xorg opengl (by using eselect opengl set xorg), and then switch it back to ATI opengl.

I just remember the name of some package requiring libGL.la: grip, anjuta ...

1. eselect opengl set ati
2. emerge anjuta .... or .... emerge grip
