packet couners are very big on application start, applet dont calculate speeds ... I have contacted upstream about this but I'm not optimistic... The author responded, telling me he's still working on a new version but cannot reproduce the problem on amd64. Hopefully, he'll find the problem anyway. Meanwhile, I've keyworded kde-misc/knetstats for amd64. It's a similar application with the added benefit that it actually works and, IMHO, looks better and is more flexible. You might want to take a look at it. (In reply to comment #4) > The author responded, telling me he's still working on a new version but cannot > reproduce the problem on amd64. You might want to take a look at it. > hmm thx :> it works for me :> I've set the -amd64 KEYWORD. Upstream is responsive but not cooperative. Consider using kde-misc/knetstats instead. Just for the record: The newly released version 0.7 is still broken on amd64. 0.72 is still broken on AMD64 and upstream (whom I was working with to get this resolved; so he became cooperative :-) ) gave up on it today: "Ok I give up. I can not do much more to resolve your issue. Please tell me if you find what is causing this situation." |
