when i try to compile kde-meta i get the following error message:
!!!ERROR: kde-base/libkcal-3.5.5-r1 failed
 Call stack:
  ebuild.sh, line 1614: Called dyn_unpack
  ebuild.sh, line 751: Called qa_call 'src_unpack'
  environment, line 4903: Called src_unpack
  libkcal-3.5.5-r1.ebuild, line 25: Called kde-meta_src_unpack
  kde-meta.eclass, line 332: Called die

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.run emerge kde-meta
2.attempts to start compiling ebuild over
3.give same error message

Reopen with the real errors, as the message told you, not with this call stack.
Comment 2 Steven Lynn Jean 2007-05-15 07:36:49 UTC
!!!Can't find library libktnef under /usr/kde/3.5/lib/
Comment 3 Carsten Lohrke (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-15 09:49:51 UTC
Assuming local hickup here as ktnef is a dependency of libkcal
Comment 4 Carsten Lohrke (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-05-15 09:50:36 UTC
Rebuild ktnef. If this doesn't help try revdep-rebuild. If this doesn't help feel free to reopen.
Comment 5 Steven Lynn Jean 2007-05-15 16:21:08 UTC
I tried both of the above with similar results. When i try to emerge ktnef, i get the error: !!!econf failed. I then tried revdep-rebuild and it completed, but neither emerge ktnef nor emerge kde-meta work afterwards.
Comment 6 Jorge Manuel B. S. Vicetto (RETIRED) Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev 2007-05-15 22:47:49 UTC
Can you please attach the portage log for the emerge of ktnef and kde-meta?
If you haven't set it before, please define PORT_LOGDIR in /etc/make.conf and try to emerge the packages again.

No response and works for me.
