The Emacs team is well aware of such developments, so there is no need to report it as a bug two hours after upstream's announcement. An ebuild for the multi-tty branch is in the Emacs Overlay already as app-editors/emacs-cvs-23.0.51, see <http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/emacs/>.

As explained in bug #77076, it will only be included in the main Portage tree after upstream's merge.
