Description Doreen Bordstedt 2007-05-11 10:24:52 UTC
After upgrading to php-5.2.2-r1 i wasn't able to communicate with my egroupware-installation via xmlrpc on my localhost. It seems, that the initial response from php is malformed.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge php with USE="xml xmlrpc"
2. install egroupware, fill in your personal addressbook
3. try to communicate with kontact to your egroupwareaddressbook
or visit http://gggeek.raprap.it/debugger/ and contact http://<yourdomain>/egroupware/xmlrpc.php

Actual Results:
Bad XML RESPONSE [ XML-ERROR: 105 ]

Expected Results:
List of available methods on server http://<yourdomain>:80/egroupware/xmlrpc.php ...
XMLRPC call(s) OK (0.59 secs.)

SOLUTION:
  echo "=dev-lang/php-5.2.2-r1" >> /etc/portage/package.mask
  emerge --update --newuse php

After downgrading the package to php-5.2.1.r3, xmlrpc works fine again.
