We're going to need a lot more information than this. I assume you're talking about the graphical installer on the LiveCD. Which CD (x86 or amd64? CD or DVD)? What was the actual error? Can you attach your install logs? I have the same problem.
When im starting installer-dialog from Live-Cd (universal) everything going allright, until i write my root password. After this i have dialog "Your password was successfully added" or smth. When i click ok i can see dialog with possibilities:
::Drop to console...
::Just retry
::Unmount disk
::Just exit
When im running Installer GTK every thing going allright to moment compile packages. It stop's at 51/116, but in log last word is "Stage 3 compiled succesfuly"
Plz help, i had not this problem with any other linux.
This is my log (text mode):

=========================================================================
This bug was almost certainly caused due to an invalid stage3 tarball. A better check for this will be put in place for 2007.1 (mainly not letting people choose the tarball). |
