Okay, I am currently looking into this. Apparently texinfo is included with glibc now, which is why the texinfo dir in portage is empty. While fixing lilypond, I noticed some other problems... so I am still working on this ebuild. Anyway, just to keep you updated.. Matt Just to add a problem I just noticed The current gcc-2.9.5 ebuild references texinfo 4.0 on gnu.org which is not *gone* they only have diffs and version 4.2 now. Ha - meant to say that it's NOW gone, not NOT gone! Sorry. If the $TV variable is updated in the ebuild for gcc it should be checked for where it's missing in the ebuild. There is at least one HARD reference to texinfo-4.0 in there. Don't have it in front of me at the moment but I believe that it's a 'cp' command with a reference to texinfo-4.0 where I suppose that it should be texinfo-${TV} Scott Should also say that this is going to break any new source build installs of gentoo. Maybe it's priority should be rasied? Please throw a copy of texinfo-4.0 onto www.ibiblio.org/gentoo/distfiles please until this is resolved. swamped by gcc3.1 stuff.. reassigning texinfo 4.2 is in portage gcc 3.1 doesn't provide texinfo anymore gcc 3.0 and 2.95.3 provides texinfo. Added ibiblio to SRC_URI. Added ibiblio to SRC_URI. |
