running gtk-update-icon-cache -f /usr/share/icons/hicolor/ will fix the problem.. It worked Thanks *** Bug 177306 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** just a notice: i'was confronted to the same behavior that i was able to fix thanks to comment #1. although i'm using gentoo since 2002 and i'm an arch-tester for x86, the idea to run "gtk-update-icon-cache -f /usr/share/icons/hicolor/" to fix the missing icons did not come to my mind... so: maybe you should just do that in the ebuild, or at least inform the user via elog and friends. the ebuild should already be running gtk-update-icon-cache... .. I don't know why it didn't pick up the pidgin icons.. |
